This add-on plugin to BadgeOS and BuddyPress automatically joins a user to one or more BuddyPress groups when they use a corresponding Invite Code upon joining your site.
Note: You will need the free BadgeOS plugin™ (version 1.2 or higher) and the BuddyPress plugin v1.7 or higher installed to use this plugin.
BadgeOS Extension Library. A growing catalog of free and premium extensions that enhance the functionality of the powerful BadgeOS system. This add-on allows for multiple groups within your BadgeOS site and the right permissions for management, approval, and reporting of each group. Visit the BadgeOS menu to add Badges and set up new Achievement Types. Enter Credly credentials for the badge Issuer in the Credly Integration settings to enable the free Credly Badge Builder and badge sharing. (First get a free account at Credly.com if you do not have one.).
BadgeOS™ turns your WordPress site into an achievement and badging system. Use the BadgeOS Invite Code plugin in conjunction with the BadgeOS Community Add-on, and badges based on Group membership can be awarded to users as soon as they join your site with a valid Invite Code.

Installation

- First upload and activate the free BadgeOS plugin, if you have not done so already.
- Also upload and activate the free BuddyPress plugin, if you have not done so already.
- Active the “User Groups” component of BuddyPress.
- Upload the ‘BuddyPress-Invite-Codes’ plugin via the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress (or upload to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory).
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Visit the new “BP Invite Codes” menu to configure the plugin, and visit “All invite Codes” to add new codes or manage existing ones.

This is a major release of BadgeOS in which we have added separate point type options so that you can create multiple point types to award/deduct points. We have also added ranks in this version so you can awards ranks to your users on completing the events. We strongly recommend you to update below add-ons too as older versions of these add-ons won’t work with this major release.
Note: You may have to update all the existing badges too in order to sync the point types data.

After updating the plugin to 3.0, You will need to update the users’ earning and achievements. Follow the steps below to update them.
Note: please clear the cache of the site before updating the user’s earning and existing achievements.
Update users’ earned achievements and points:
– Update the BadgeOS to 3.1 or greater
– Go to Dashboard -> BadgeOS -> Point Type
– Create a new point type (if not created already)
– Go to Dashboard -> BadgeOS -> Settings
– Select the default point type and click on save settings button
– Click on the “Upgrade 3.0 DB” button

Unlimited rank types can be created
Default rank is the one with the “0” priority. It will automatically be rewarded to all the users. If you don’t want to create a default rank then set its priority more than “0” like 1,2 etc.
An achievement can be earned multiple times but the rank will only be earned once. Achievement is like a step while rank is like a level.
